Lovely people, it’s time once again for me to assault your ears and eyes by reading aloud a short story that may not be from the upcoming Gobbelino London & a Collision of Catastrophes, but is certainly adjacent to it.
This time I confirm I cannot do voices, discover alliteration is hard, and confess the true extent of my tea fixation (as if you didn’t know).
There are no spoilers at all in this story, so you can watch on perfectly safely – but do mind the unicorns. You know what they’re like. Stabby.

Yes! Loved it! I just finished Collision of Catastrophes and of course it was amazing…and sad. Sorry to be leaving our friends Gobbelino and Callum and Gerry and Poppy and so many more. The resolution of that story was action packed and breathtaking. All that nonstop action…whoo! Deep breaths! But here’s cheers to more stories on the way!
The only other person I have ever hear of who packed her luggage full of tea when returning from the UK. Love your books! How about “We is Vegetarians” for a title & do you have anything on the hob for audio versions of the Gobbelino Books? I have been listening to the Beaufort Scales books on Audible & very much enjoying them. I just peeked at a preview of some of the others BUT dyslexia makes reading hard. (TY for reading your new short story!)
FYI – I ALWAYS enjoy listening to an author read their own stories. Y’all may not be “polished” BUT the intonations are what you heard in your head as you were writing it so it more than makes up for the flubs…. which are charming anyway.
Kim, I am American and have a bit of a problem with accents. (I am also dyslexic and have to read things sometimes more than twice before I feel I’ve read it right, but it also makes it more fine…sometimes I’m laughing too hard to read it right in the first go round!) I also don’t much like being read too, since it takes a lot of concentration to listen and I can’t do anything else. A problem when it comes to listening, since my patience is ….well, very short. Hope this story is in one of the books. I do like wolves, and donkeys are very cut
